Meet Our Quran Teachers
At Al-Braa Academy, every lesson is taught live by a real, Al-Azhar-qualified teacher — never a recording or an app. Our teachers hold documented Ijazah chains in Quranic recitation and years of hands-on experience guiding students of all ages, including complete beginners and non-Arabic speakers, through Tajweed, memorization, and Islamic Studies.
Choosing an academy means choosing the person who will actually sit across the screen from you or your child every week. Below you can get to know the teachers who make up Al-Braa Academy — their qualifications, their teaching style, and what makes each of them effective in the virtual classroom.
What Sets Our Teachers Apart
Our Teaching Team
Nine dedicated instructors, each bringing their own path to teaching the Quran
Shaikha Huda Hossam El-Din
Huda Hossam El-Din graduated with Honors (Excellent with Distinction) in Islamic Creed and Philosophy from the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies at Al-Azhar University, and is currently in the preparatory stage of her Master's degree. She has over five years of experience in Quran memorization and Tajweed correction.
Her Ijazah credentials are extensive: the narration of Hafs 'an 'Asim, the Ten Qira'at, and the classical texts Tuhfat Al-Atfal, Al-Jazariyyah, Hirz Al-Amani, and Ad-Durrah Al-Mudiyyah.

Shaikh Abdulrahman Atwa Mohamed
Abdulrahman Atwa Mohamed teaches Arabic, the Holy Quran, and Islamic Studies to non-native speakers, and over two years of teaching he's worked with learners from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Islamic Da'wah in 2024 and is now pursuing postgraduate research in Comparative Religions, with specialized training in learning difficulties and educational psychology.
Shaikha Asmaa Fakhry Hussein
Asmaa Fakhry Hussein has spent over 17 years teaching English, the Holy Quran, Tajweed, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Education in English from Minia University and a Diploma in Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers from Ain Shams University, and previously worked as a Senior English Language Teacher.
She has seven years of experience teaching Quran online. Her Ijazah is in Hafs 'an 'Asim with a connected Sanad reaching back to the Prophet Muhammad, and she is a graduate of the Qira'at Institute at Al-Azhar.

Shaikh Mahmoud Rabie Ali
Shaikh Mahmoud Rabie Ali brings a rare combination to the classroom: a background in Electrical Engineering from Al-Azhar University alongside deep expertise in Quranic recitation. He holds certified Ijazahs in both reciting and teaching the Quran across four distinct narrations — Hafs, Shu'bah, Warsh, and Al-Susi — giving him unusually broad scholarly range for a single instructor.
He has spent years teaching online across a wide span of ages and levels, covering everything from the foundational Qaidah and Noor Al-Bayan through full Quran memorization, Tajweed, and Arabic reading. His lessons stay structured yet flexible, built around helping each student gain real confidence and accuracy in their recitation and their connection to the Arabic language.
Shaikha Fadia Ayman Mohamed
Fadia Ayman Mohamed teaches Quran, Tajweed, and Arabic online, with a clear passion for helping students connect with the Quran and the Arabic language. She holds Ijazahs in Quran Memorization, Tuhfat Al-Atfal, and Al-Jazariyyah, giving her a solid grounding in the rules of Tajweed.
She works with both children and adults, shaping each lesson around the student's age, level, and goals, and makes regular use of interactive tools to keep sessions engaging.

Shaikh Mohamed Ahmed Youssef
Mohamed Ahmed Youssef serves as an Imam and Khateeb under Egypt's Ministry of Awqaf and has built his teaching career around the Holy Quran, Tajweed, and Islamic Studies. He is especially known for explaining Islamic concepts clearly in English, which makes him a natural fit for students who are not native Arabic speakers.
He graduated from Al-Azhar University in 2017 with a Bachelor's in Arts and Education, majoring in English, and is now working toward a Master's degree in the same field. His Ijazah covers Quranic recitation through the narration of Hafs 'an 'Asim, with additional training in English-language pedagogy and digital transformation.
Shaikha Habiba Salah
Habiba Salah is a graduate of the Faculty of Human Studies at Al-Azhar University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology — a background that shapes how she approaches teaching the Quran. She holds an Ijazah in the recitation of the Holy Quran according to 'Asim, through both the Hafs and Shu'bah narrations, along with an Ijazah in the Noorani Qa'idah.
Her psychology background gives her particular insight into building student confidence, creating a supportive, low-pressure environment where progress feels achievable.

Shaikh Alaa Abdelmoniem Ghanem
With more than 15 years in the classroom, Alaa Abdelmoniem Ghanem teaches Quran and Tajweed to both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers, guiding many students through full memorization of the Quran. An Al-Azhar University graduate, he holds an Ijazah with an unbroken chain of narration tracing back to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
His teaching style is deliberately simple and paced to the individual. Lessons go beyond correct pronunciation to cover the meaning behind the verses, helping students turn Quranic teachings into something they apply day to day.

Shaikh Mahmoud Abdu
Mahmoud Abdu focuses on Quran recitation, Tajweed, Quran memorization, and Arabic for non-native speakers, working with students ranging from complete beginners to advanced learners. Rather than following one fixed method, he builds a personalized plan around each student's goals.
He studied Islamic Studies in English at the Faculty of Languages and Translation, Al-Azhar University, and has earned multiple ijazahs across different riwayat.
